Duratrac 315 or 325?

I have a 2.5 inch lift and want to go with 35's and 17 inch wheels an have only seen 315/70/17 as the biggest in 17 rims. Is it worth it to go to 18 inch rims for 325? Note i also have 3.21 gears and dont plan on regearing right away.

The weight, cost, loss of power and loss of fuel economy would vastly outweigh the benefits of less than half an inch of extra width (1cm).

No, tires for 18's are vastly more expensive. Stick to 17 or even 16" wheels. If you have a pre 2012, life is going to suck on 3.21 and 35's, just saying.

If you're planning to go off-road with it, I would go with the smaller wheels. JMHO of course.

2.5" Rubicon Express suspension lift. LOVE the Duratracs! look way more agressive in person than i imagined. pretty quiet and certainly smooth. for the wheeling i do, including winter weather.. they're great

Can you still use the stock tire carrier with that size?

I'm pretty sure you can, albeit at the risk of tailgate damage. I'm running the stock spare until I get an aftermarket bumper/carrier.

I'm looking at downsizing my wheels to a 16 or 17. Probably going with Duratracs. I'm not sure on the size yet but I am NOT paying $350 a tire so 18's are out.

One issue I'm seeing is that the 16's are all load range E. Overkill IMHO & too heavy but $265 a tire. So 17's are looking better but the wheels are $30 more each & the tires come in at about $305 so....

decisions decisions.
