Duratrac & Mickey Thompson Classic II

I have a 2010 JK Unlimited Sport and would like to put on Duratrac tires (33"X12.5X15) & MT Classic ll wheels (15X8).

I know that some 15" alloys will not work without mods. Does anyone know if this tire/wheel package will work without a lift, spacers, etc? Using previous threads, I looked on DTD and was not crazy about the wheels. Any help is appreciated.

The wheels may rub the brake caliper. You would be better off with 16" wheels and tires. But the size will work on the Jeep with no lift. However, your tires may rub the front lower airdam under full turn, but can be fixed by removing the airdam.

The 15x8 version of the MT Classic II has 3 5/16" backspacing. That is going to cause the wheels to stick out quite a good ways from the body of the Jeep. Can't find a definitive answer as to whether the 15" Classic IIs will require caliper clearancing or not.

Most 15" wheels out there sold by DTD have 3.5" backspace and theu only pop out a couple inches. MT wheels are better of at that backspace, they wont stick out as far.

Most 15" wheels for the JK actually have 3.75" backspacing. This one will have 3.3".

Either space, 3.75 or 3.5 your Classic two wheels will be slightly in from. Thanks for correction though : )

I'm running 17" MT Classic II's and 35" Duratracs, pics in profile. Don't know about clearance on the 15s. If you decide to go 16, check the load range on the Duratracs, in a 35, they are load range E only. That's why I went to 17s, backed the tire off to load range D.

I have the M/T Classic II's in 16". I like them a lot. I did not want a black rim; I wanted a classic look and the M/T's provide it well.

You got that backwards. They won't be in some. They will be out some. The lower the backspace number, the further out the wheel/tire will sit from the Jeep.

I've got the Classic II 15x8 w/ 33x12.5 Duratracs on my 12 JKU. They fit fine.
