A week ago I installed the Dynatrac Progrip Braking System. I don't have big tires (285/70/17) but I haul big stuff at times so I wanted better braking. I looked at many big brake kits and went with this one because you don't need to undo the brake lines. I have done that a few times and really don't enjoy bleeding brakes and cleaning up the lines. The parts came with a beautiful gold finish but I decided to paint them red to match the Jeep. I used Rustoleum Flame Red paint. I love the color.
I was very careful to tape all the points where there would be contact or motion.
After painting and removing the tape the parts looked like this.
I used one of the boxes as a paint stage.
Overall opinion so far is very positive. You can really feel the bigger brakes. Also, I feel like my wheels track truer with the larger rotors but that might be just me imagining the effect.
I am very glad I painted the brakes as they look nice on the Jeep. I guess I could have also painted the factory calipers but I am fine with this look. This is a rear brake.
Front brake.
Front wheel.
I will post more information after I have a long road trip hauling something big.
