No worries... One of my requirements is that I can sleep in the back... At 5' 7" I can just lay down flat in the back of the Unlimited, with the seats down of course.

I asked Joe Veltri, VP of Product Planning for Chrysler, a question about Wrangler features for the next full redesign, specifically half-doors, and other things. His response was something like (paraphrased) "Those features are core to the Wrangler brand and will continue."

Great to hear and thanks for the info Adkjeep. I was starting to believe that Chrysler had forgotten that. There are still some of us that like 2-door, soft top, half door jeeps. Although, the dealers are a different story. It's nearly impossible to find half door Jeeps on dealer lots in the Northeast these days.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. Does that mean on June 2nd I can walk into a Jeep dealership and get a spot allocated to me? Is there usually a downpayment with that? (refundable or not?)

Interesting, based on your experience do you think this means they will be bumping up the production and delivery schedules as well?

Pretty funny, when I got the call from our inventory person he said the same thing. He said he was going to look into it and let me know for sure on the half doors and the rumor of an AWD. His opinion was half doors for sure and no AWD as nobody who buys a Wrangler wants it.

I'm sure this one is obvious but prices and colors will be available then as well?

I am not sure but I'd be careful about getting the full doors and doing half doors aftermarket. I think in some states to legally use a half door it has to be OEM equipment.

So if you buy Mopar you are in the clear?

I'm not certain if that is the case or not, but I'd be willing to hold a spot with a refundable deposit, if that's how it worked, and then pick the options when announced (say July?)

color for sure, hopefully pricing too. On June 2nd, you can go to your local dealer and place an order.

Do you happen to know if Jeep will have any new sales incentives soon? Maybe a "year end sales event" or something. I'm considering purchasing a new Wrangler Unlimited.

WHAT? The best part of a Jeep is driving around with NO DOORS! I hang left foot out on the door sill. What-teh-heck State R U talking about? Quadratech has pages of after-market half & tube doors.

I think there was some wackie rule in New Hope that you had to wear a helmet if the windshield was down...something krazy.

They don't tell us that in advance. Sometimes we get these little hints, but nothing is set in stone. current incentive($500 mopar bucks) is good thru 5/31.

That's better than nothing. Does Mopar have a budget boost?

I haven't seen one. But, convince your dealer to sell you the 2" lift at wholesale when you buy the car (should be easy) and then throw in the $500 and you're getting a good lift for a BB price.

Just a thought...

June 2nd!! I'll be there for sure!! Can't wait to place an order, provided that the Pentastar is on board, if not I'll take advantage of a late model year deal on a 2011.

I don't know. I googled a bit on the topic a few months ago and it seemed to me there were a few states where they had to be installed from the factory. All I'm saying is research it before you decide. I could be off base, if so sorry to worry you.

No worries. I will look into it. I did find this, and there is no mention of issues with doors in NJ.
