Easy to remove roof racks?

Hey everyone -

Last Saturday we picked up our 13 JKUR.

Looking to add a roof rack so we can do a roof top tent.

Only issue is I hate running a roof rack over a soft top unless we are heading somewhere (camping, etc). So I am looking for a roof rack that I can install just for trips, and can take off when we get back.

Any ideas on easy to remove racks??

Many thanks

If you are running a hard top, you can fit a roof top tent to the OUT4X4 System, over here. The system stays connected to the hardtop, but doesn't change the way you remove the roof from the Jeep.

This is a jeep here on blog running a roof top tent, awning and lots of other bits up top.

The closest thing I know of is this:

Adventure Rack, JK 4-Door - Adventure Racks - Roof Racks

Not designed to be fully removable but it does flip back to allow easy access to fold the top and it is pretty minimal. And, aside from the four mounting hard points, you may be able to remove the main part of the rack relatively easily.

I've got their expedition rack on mine and I've been happy with it but I've got a hard top and the rack is static mounted due to some wire harness running through it and air compressor and tanks hard mounted in the basket.
