EGR Valve

My check engine light came on a couple of days ago. I checked the code and it was P0406. (EGR Valve) I found a write up on another forum. It turns out that they put this little bugger in a hard to reach place. You have to remove the passenger wheel and fender and even then it's a little tough to get to. It's nearly impossible with an automatic transmission because it's behind the dipstick tube.

I cleared the code and was hoping it would just go away. It popped back on last night. Not wanting to remove the fender (I have never successfully removed any body part fastener from any vehicle) I dropped it off at the dealer in the hopes they would have the part in stock.

I should have my Jeep back this afternoon with $450 less in my pocket. Merry Christmas to me. I'm getting a shiny new EGR valve for Christmas.

They wanted me to spend another $210 to have my throttle body cleaned, but I declined. For $210 they better do more than clean my throttle body.
