electric brake controller installation

Looking to install an electric trailer brake controller in my 2012 jku. Anyone have information on a good inexpensive controller? Installation instructions including how to wire in round connector with all applicable wires? I would like to wire my jeep to a popup tent trailer with a round plug having electric trailer brake. Thanks

bought the oem jeep 7 way RV plug wiring set off ebay $85 installs easily, included directions good, even has the blue wire to you run into the cab for brake controller, I like the inertia type controller myself, my last one was tekonsha had adjustable gain to set for weight of trailer etc.

Red Jeep, and bad attitude so what?

I use the tekonsha Prodigy which is one of the better ones on the market. I have it in my Silverado and used to tow the Jeep on a trailer. These newer electronic controllers are much better than the old style a few years ago.

I used the Tekonsha Primus IQ on mine, it featured the Prodigy technology plus a boost setting, its small and can be unplugged and removed when not in use.

you will need to tap into the white wire with tan stripe under the dash
at the brake light switch
