Electrical question on Kleinn horn

Sorry to post in this forum but I wasn't getting help in the electronics section and I'm in the middle of the install. Problem: Kleinn directions say I need to connect pin 3 to pin 1 and then I need to ground pin 1. How do I do both of the above with one male end? If I join pin 3 and pin 1 wouldn't I be grounding both pins? If someone could walk me through it, it would be much appreciated.
