Electrical requirement for winch

Can occasional use of a winch be done with stock electrical system without having to get new battery or alternator . I font want to damage alternator etc...

Yes, I have a 2010 and used my winch 4 times, with no problems. Just make sure that the motor is running and someone can hit the gas when needed.

Absolutely no problem with that, assuming you're using a standard 12v winch designed to be wired into a Jeep's electrical system. They'll tell you if you need to do something else.

And you don't need to use it "infrequently" either. I probably wouldn't run it for 30 minutes non stop, (and I'm not sure that would cause a problem, but heat soak will eventually happen), but you don't need to only use it every 3 days or 5 times a year or anything like that. I've honestly never heard of anyone actually overheating a winch or their electrical system, but I'm sure it's happened.
