Electron Stability Control Warning Light

Today my ESC warning light came on in my 2012 JKU while driving around town. The owners manual says to drive over 30mph for a couple miles and try cycling the ignition a few times. Did all of that tonight and the light is still on. When I put my lift and tires on a couple of weeks ago I didn't think I touched any electronic sensors. I only have 900 miles on it.

Anyone have suggestions before I return it to the dealership???

Thanks,

Sam

Is your steering wheel at the 12:00 position?

Sam, did you remember to re-center your steering wheel?

I did the lift two weeks ago and then added a steering stabilizer this past weekend. Today was the first issue. I did not recenter my steering wheel.

Is your Jeep powered by the Large Hadron Collider?

Unstable electrons sounds like a serious issue to me. What code does it throw, or does a mushroom cloud just appear from under the hood?

Good Luck!

Centered the steering wheel and found a trac bar bolt loose. Light is still on but everything feels and sounds good. ??????

bringing an old thread back from the dead- I had this light come on tonight driving home from work.

I threw the AEV procal in and did the steering wheel centering, went for a drive around the block and the light turned off. While i was under the jeep I re-torqued the trackbar (I did a lift a few months back)

Hope this helps someone in the future!
