I was going to get one of the ones put out by Chrysler. They have put it out to a third party for sale. But it is on the Jeep web site that the link is for your model. It is a bit pricey as I think the price I saw was near 200 bucks. Ouch. I'm planning to keep the jeep for a long time so I'm gonna bite the bullet me thinks.

Over the years I've purchased many of those auto repair manuals from auto stores including the NAPA ones. I have seen the OEM manuals but never owned one. From what I have seen, the OEM manuals were always more detailed than the aftermarket ones. Since this company is hooked up with Chrysler, I would expect this product to be detailed. Perhaps someone who owns one can comment on its thoroughness?

An uneducated guess on the price of the DVD is that the data area on the disc is gold plated thus driving the price UUUUUP!

If the product is as good as the OEM manuals, perhaps the price is worth the admission?

Does anyone use the Haynes manual for JK repair??? Is it worth the purchase??? Over the years I have discovered Chilton and Haynes are same publisher and Haynes has better photos and directions. 30 Years ago that old 2" thick hard-cover 'Motor Manual' was the gem. Today the electronics makes working on a rig very difficult. Of course today finding SAE bolts with metric nuts really makes me #$%^&*. Does anyone remember when water pumps came with grease zerts and they lasted forever. Of course we also had 'Ethel' gasoline back then, before it was 'rediscovered' to save the planet. Best part was it only cost .19 cents a gallon... Them were the days...

@ Fritz

Ya, those were the days. I had my share of those manuals over the years. The auto repair shop at the school where I work uses electronic, on line, service papers. They have a nice print feature to give to the "technician" so there is something to follow during the procedure. That seems to work well. I would think a good electronic system would have a print function as well as on line illustrations.

Thanks for all the help with this folks.

I jacked 'er up today and took the rear wheels and tires off and performed the adjustments. The parking brake works awesome now. 4 or 5 clicks on my driveway(which is pretty steep) and she holds like nobodys business!

Thanks again for all the help.
