Emergency Brake cable snapped.

So I broke the emergency brake and seeing I have a manual I would like it fixed ASAP. Is it hard to do and what parts do I need. I have an 08JKU

Apparently the parking brakes are ongoing problems with Wranglers. Found these in just a couple minutes of searching.

Parking Brake (E Brake) Issue

The '07 and '08 JK's had self-adjusting e-brakes, from what I've read. The later models don't. I couldn't find the specific parts you'd need online for your '08, though...

Hopefully somebody who's replaced theirs will come along.

Good luck.

Here's a thread from JF about it...sounds you gotta take the ctr console and seats out to fix it.

Here's a link that shows the various parts for the parking brake, 2007+ Jeep JK. See boxes on right side of page named "Park Brake Assembly, Rear Disc" and "Park Brake Lever."
