Emissions recall ?

I just received a notice about 2010-2011 models with 3.8l requiring the powertrain control module to be reprogrammed. Anybody on this issue??? Or should I just schedule and take it in..I am always thinking they get you in there to find other problems on your vehicle..

I'd just schedule it and take it in. You can go to Jeep.com and plug in your VIN to see if there are any other issues.

I have received the same notice but never brought it in yet

Thanks for the responses, I guess I will schedule and get it taken care of..just needed the extra push.

i ignored mine as soon as saw it may not be legal in Kalifornia

It was more of an issue in California, something about needing it done before renewing registration....

The recall is L35. It states the the rear O2 sensor is not being recognized by the PCM and if a reading outside the parameters is detected it may not turn the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) on.

Ordinarilly I try to avoid the stealerships at all cost but I don't have the ability to re-flash the PCM so I had to take mine in. It was only in the shop for about 25 minutes though, they were pretty quick.

I have heard of a couple different recalls/TSBs for the 2011s, but I have never received a notice. Also never see any available for mine when I input the VIN at the Jeep website. Must only affect early builds.

I didn't get a recall notification on mine either. I just plugged the VIN into Jeeps website and got the hit. I then called the dealer for an appointment and to confirm. They confirmed that it was on the recall and told me no appointment was necessary, just bring it in and it could be done while I waited.

I thought the main reason why I hadn't received a recall notifications was because I had only owned it two weeks and the records hadn't transferred yet.
