Entry Guards

Happy Saturday!

Any suggestions on entry guards for a 2014 JKU? Quadratec? Like with anything else...there are so many options!

Thanks

I was thinking plastic. But whatever looks best and last the longest. I'm looking for it in black.

I just ordered a set of Quadratec entry guards for my Willys.
They are black plastic.
My 11 came with the Mopar entry guards and they were black plastic.

I bought the Mopar ones on Amazon and really like them. They look like they were there from the factory...and they should be.

Got the MOPAR ones on Amazon for 40 bucks.

Amazon.com: 2007-2014 Jeep Wrangler 4 Door-Door Entry Guards: Automotive

Totally worth it, imo.

I got the Mopar plastic guards of Amazon for about $40. They are all about the same but I'd rather have them say Jeep instead of some random retailer.

I'd have to recommend the Mopar ones too. I had them on my 2012 and when I traded it in for my 2013, I didn't hesitate to install the Mopar ones again. Outside flipping the rear view mirror, its probably the easiest mod out there.

I'm not sure if they are "needed" or not, but I think they look attractive.

Personally I don't think the sill plates provide enough or any protection. I found that I had paint scuffing off on the edge of the sill where the guard doesn't cover. I went with the full rocker panel sill guard from Bushwacker. http://www.bushwacker.com/trail-armo...mbo-pair-14011

The mopar ones in this thread are not visible when the door is closed, right? I'm not a big fan of seeing them when the door is closed

Nope. You can't see a thing. And when you open the door they look as if they came right from the factory that way.

This. The Mopars don't protect the whole area. I have them, but if you're wanting full coverage look elsewhere.

What does flipping the rear view mirror do, other than what it's designed to do?

It gives you a higher viewing angle out the rear, which helps you see over the spare tire better. I had the mirror on my 2008 flipped, but can't do it on the 2014 due to the wiring and map lights.

It is by the Mag Light Corp they sell them at Bass Pro or you can order on line they come in D-cell and C-cell size I think I paid less than $6.50 for them 2 screws each and mount just about anywhere .I have a D-cell that holds 6 D batteries but its too big for that space.as a matter of fact you can order them from Bass Pro .
