ESC Idiot Light Help

Hi all, I searched for what i'm about to describe, but found nothing, my hope is someone can help me out here.

Stats:
Jeep: 2012 JKU MW3 ed. ~9k miles.
Environment: 65 degrees, 50% humidity, sun shining. Paved road / highway.

i was parked curb side, pulled strait out, reached about 20 mph and the ESC light blinked as i lost all throttle, RPM's skyrocketed. i took my foot off the gas and it stopped reving and blinking. after the combo of fear and wtf emotions dissipated, i depressed the petal and again, same thing, this time i got it up to about 35mph.

I pulled over and parked it, did a full "walk around", nothing out of the ordinary. i got back on the road, and it happened again!

this time i took my foot off the petal, put it in 4H and depressed the petal again, the light blinked a few times and the RPM's jumped but only briefly. as thought that solved the issue. i took my foot off the gas (was going approx ~40-45 mph) and put it back in 2WD.

the rest of the day, everything was normal, did not happen again.

this happen to anyone else? was putting it into 4H a "nono"? i will be calling the dealer tomorrow, but i was curious if any of you gent's or ladies might have an idea..

Thanks!

Jay
