2012 Jeep: 25k miles.

Have been to the dealer 5 times now for the small evap leak check engine light. They have smoke tested the whole system (or so they tell me). They have replaced the whole Evap system at this point..... Most recently they removed the gas tank & smoke tested it as well, no leak found. They replaced the filler neck & of course the light came back on after a fuel cycle.

Could this be a computer issue? I am going to try to reset the ECU. Will I need to reprogram with procal if I reset the ECU? Anybody have any ideas I'm not sure what to do at this point... :atomic:

What's the exact code your getting? If it's p0465 it's most likely the gas cap. Also when my wife's commander had that issue I ended up wrapping all the evap hose ends with high quality electrical tape.

I had a PO456 iirc and after finally getting fuel filler neck replaced..Code came back a day later. Tech said being I had code so long before I could get fixed that the pump burned up. Replaced that n no issues since.
Which pump?

Right now I'm getting a light & when I prompt the check I get ------ then DONE. A red lightning bolt light stays on until the check is done.

I have a 2011. I replace the box already due to a crack. Got the mail today and it was a small evap leak. Last time I got that was sometime last year. I just clear the code.

But I did smoke test the system. No leaks found. Small leaks are a pain. Probably won't see this code till next year again. I did treat the purge valve under the hood and that functions.

I just had this problem with the code P0465 on my JK. Thinking it was the seal to the gas cap. the edges of the valve are a little rusted so I sanded the edges a bit and put a tiny bit of grease around the edges. Did the job. light turned off when I started her up :)
