Exhaust/ Muffler

I have an 08 JK 2 dr and I would like to get some nice sound out of it. I'm looking for something affordable so I can't spend $1,000, but if anyone knows of a good muffler that produces some nice sound that isn't too loud! I'm up to any and many suggestions.

I ordered the Corsa Axle Back Dual Exhaust System Part #COR24412 from 4WD.com. They offer a $50 rebate this month too. I'll post picts when I install.

I have an MBRP catback and i'm happy with it. Sounds better but at the same time not too rice burner-ish sounding.

I think mine was about $400. But I bought the black colored version. The non-painted can be had for cheaper.

Thanks. I think once I put a new bumper on it though i'll probably take the tip off. Would probably get smashed if I was wheeling it hard enough.

Go to local muffler shop. It's usually less than ordering one. Plus u don't have to lay on ur back welding it in.( I don't trust clamps on exhaust)

+1 on the MBRP cat back exhaust. That's what I have. Good tone. Not to loud, and definitely not ricer sounding. I like it!

I have the AFE catback on my 2012 sport with the AFE cold air intake. I really like the sound of it, and the combo seemed to make the throttle feel a little "snappier"

The exhaust was $340 and the intake was $260. Both through Quadratec.

Don't bother with a local muffler shop ... I did ... I have flowmaster from a muffler shop now and I am really happy with it ... But ....

They don't typically have the necessary parts for wranglers and have to bend the pipes themselves which costs $$ ... At the end of it all I spent about the same that I would have for a full bolt on cat back ...
