Exhaust pipe kink. Is this supposed to be like this?

Newbie Wrangler owner here. I was under the rear bumper yesterday installing my new hitch and I noticed the exhaust pipe near where it connects into the muffler has a kink in the pipe. It looks like it's for clearance to a suspension bar below it. I just wanted to check for sure.

Wouldn't that cause a flow restriction?

Here's what I'm talking about.

Perfectly normal. And wow, I forgot what a brand new clean undercarriage looks like.

They say you can bring it to a muffler shop and have that section replaced with straight pipe and pick up about 37HP and 25TQ at the wheels.

And if you add a Cold Air kit, you can pick up another 23RWHP and 31TQ as well as a 14.3% increase in gas mileage. While you are there, go ahead and add in a magnet to your gas tank, and you are talking about the 3.6Pentastar making close to 400HP and getting 35MPG...
