Fabrication Question

For those that have done fabrication work what material did you find best to use for mach up?

I am doing a custom switch box. I am thinking card board might be to flimsy

I find cardboard to be the easiest. After that, I had a lot of scrap sheet metal lying around, so I'd just keep taking pieces and bending them till I got them where I wanted it. Then I used the good stuff.

Go by your local Radio Shack-they carry 2/3/4 different Black plastic-fairly sturdy, hookup boxes with removable tops-kewl-

Then you can layout/drill/holecut whatever your system needs-

Checkitoput-

Bingo....I already have a couple of project boxes from RS but the 2011 interior is so rounded there isnt a lot of flat space. So i am going to try and fab something up that will require some unique angles.

Def going to use the RS project box to house relays and fuse block.

Also a follow up to the Fuse Box Pic you posted....about 90% the same as the 2011 there were a few differences though.

The engine compt has lotta places for relay/fuse boxs

You can always use the windshield upper plastic facia, to hold fuse panels-

You have to do some custom trimming though !!

Good luck
