Factory bumper "mods" instead of new bumper.

Any comments on either of these products? I kinda like the way the stock bumper looks (especially my Freedom Edition bumper with the gunmetal grey), but would like to make a few changes.

I have seen a few people who have used the VDP Stubby End Cap Kit, and in all cases it looks great. Anybody have any "stay away" stories?

Also, has anyone used this bull bar thing? It doesn't look like it offers a TON of structural support, but it looks cool, and gives me the option to add some more lights if i so choose. link

Mine have the Rough Country end caps and my winch is mounted behind the bumper - no visibility except the fairlead coming out of the front of the bumper between the LED fogs.

Only regret is the hidden winch. I can't see the synthetic line to make sure it's spooled right.

Here is is...

I think it removes a total of 17" from the stock bumper.

Here's the link - They're not expensive and easy to install. I saw some guy cut his ends off, shorten them, solder them back on and sand down to look more stock, but that's much more work than these caps.

Here is a pic from the side, about a year ago. The rough country end caps. Yeah 25 minutes to put it on tops. Still running this set up and no complaints.

And this is how she sits today with the same thing as the mopar light bar, but I bought what ever the other brand was at a cheaper price than mopar

Stock bumper mod. I didn't purchase the end caps, I used what I cut off to make end caps. More or less it's like a "mid width" stubby mod.
Looks good, wish I would have seen this thread before ordering my new bumper, hopefully be installing it on Saturday.

No caps, just cut and plastic welded the stock bumper.

Installed my VDP stubby end caps today, only took about 30 minutes. Never taken a sawzall to a car of mine before, but I like the result! Lol

I am considering taking off the plastic portion and making the underlying metal bumper into a stubby....I like the look of the VDP/RC stubby's, but I really can't stand the plastic bumper. Decisions, decisions.
