factory led floor wiring

So here is a fun fact that I don't understand. The factory installed floorboard leds are weak at best. I was installing some new lights and thought I would like to keep the courtesy light and running light action that jeep gave me from the start thus find the two hot and two grounds and just wire them all together to the hot and ground of my led. When I did that the dome light comes on anytime the parking and floorboard running lights are on. Anyone know why this is?

I don't have courtesy lights, but I'm courteous to my just passenger, I generally take the door completely off so there is no question as how to operate a door handle.

as for electric problems...no idea, my jeep and I are both frightened by electrical things. put a ground wire somewhere or say please turn off?

LOL the sense of humor on this forum is great. I decided to be a wasteful led consumer and solved the problem by using two sets of leds on for courtesy lights and another for floorboard running lights. They even fade away like factory lights!

Because electrical work normally ends in shockingly foul words and/or a small fire and this hasn't to this point a YouTube clip of the fading will be up shortly
