Factory Tint

Lots of threads on this I know, but I want to ask the question myself. Is the factory tint on the back door windows, hard top windows, and rear windows 20%? I'm going to get my front two to match the rest, and possibly get a windshield brow.

Tint was the first thing that I did. I did the front banner as well. My tint guy uses only 3M and the 20% is real close to factory tint.

Just remember that factory tint isn't UV protection. It's privacy glass. Not the same thing.

^^^This, and if you want to go as dark on your front side windows, as the factory hardtop, then you had better make sure that it is legal in your state to do this!

Many states have a max that is allowable!

Exactly right. Factory tint also doesn't prevent radiant heat which a good ceramic tint will. I am tinting the fronts 20% with ceramic and the rear with nearly clear ceramics.

Consider ceramics if you have fair skin or are concerned with your children's skin and spend a good amount of time in the Jeep.
