Factory Wheel mod idea

I am trying to think of ways to change the look of the factory wheel. I have been tempted to use the bedliner as many have done but trying to think outside the box. I was looking at maybe using some now skip strips as some type of a design. For mock up I am using black electrical tape right now to see what it looks like. My daughter liked this one but still undecided. What do you think? Sorry sun already went down so light not good.

Dang, you're speedy!

I was kind of hoping for one that was mounted with chrome lug nuts, but this will do.

your mock up tape job looks pretty good. what exactly are you planning on doing, i'd be careful about removing too much material, you might seriously weaken the structural integrity of the wheels...

I already had that one on my computer. Tried using photoshop to do a couple things to the wheel but I am not going to be a computer graphic design specialist anytime some. I think my 10 year old could use it better.

Not removing anything. Was planning on using either vinyl sticker or maybe the non-skid strips used on back of chrome bumpers

If I had the money to machine them I would buy a real wheel lol. I can do the above for $4 a wheel

I like the out of the box thinking...i'm curious how it would look if the entire rim were blacked as well, with each of those black lines having ended/began connected to the black rim. (if that phrasing made any sense)

Use "Frog Tape", not electrical tape. No leaching of paint underneath. Much better than traditional painter's "blue tape". Also use a ruler to set it. Your concept was great, but the upper left one was off by 1/2 inch or so.

That actually is a real attractive idea, but man you'll have to be so careful to keep symmetry--and LOTS OF WORK !!

It may be hard to touch up after off-road dings, but it could look KEWL

Neat idea

Just by personal experience... Frog tape is not better then painters tape IMO. I usedfrog tape to paint the pin stripe on my XJ and wen I pulled it off it did leak a little underneath and it pulled some paint off with it as well

My 2 cents

You could mask it off and paint it.
No matter which design you choose to go with it would be a better choice.

If you're interested in painting it and don't know how, holler and I could give you destructions.

That is cool how something so simple can change the look of a wheel dramatically. Nice!

Your first design there reminds me of the old 90's Camaro wheels.
