Regardless of if I have the fan turned off or not I seem to be hearing the fan start up for a few seconds when I switch the ignition key on. Any ideas?
I also noticed the A/C - heat box flap moving while I was working on installing an after market amp a while back... power was off.
I think that it the "Purge Mode" kicking in when you switch on the ignition.
It is supposed to blow any "stale" air out from the floor vents so that in the event you turn on the fan the "stale" air doesn't blow right in your face.
