Hey has anyone done this with no carpet? I currently don't have carpet or lining and I'm wondering if it will make quite a bit of noise.

Hi,

I have taken out my carpet from my 2010 Rubicon 3.8 due to my constant roof leaking problem. I expected heavy noises but am wondering about the still acceptable sound. Don't miss my carpet and can enjoy wet offroad pleasure better than ever before... Floor lining is not necessary up to now, but is still an option.

Cheers from Germany.
Guido

Hi,

have also installed that tailgate table. Easy to install, with only 100 bucks relatively cheap and durable. And in black with RUBICON letters great looking. The slight rattling noises on bumpy tracks can be easily eliminated in squeezing a pair of gloves between table and tailgate... Like it !

Cheers,
Guido

I picked up the Smittybilt but now I'm thinking I should've went the fold down route. Do you know if the foot print of the table is roughly the same as Smittybilt? I don't like how the Smittybilt sorta sags down when you put weight on it.

I should've listen to your post here. This is where I'm now at. I feel I wasted my money for sure. Guess I'll just order this one and use the bags off the Smittybilt.

Just placed my order for the table, fender wells, and back seat panel.

I'll post pics when I get them and installed.

You can also get it as part of the $150 package deal, but here it is by itself:

Yeh you have to drill a larger hole the recommended hole in the instructions is too small

Remember the screws that come with this are aluminum screws, NOT steel. Yes, as been reported several times in this thread, you need bigger pilot holes than the suggested 1/8".
