Can't say I fully dislike any color though, it's awesome that jeep keeps the color palette so interesting and I'm sure there's at least 1 wrangler in every color that could bulldoze mine hahaha... It is stock... For now!...

With that, my current favorite is Commando Green. The availablility of this color actually convinced me to go ahead and purchase a new Jeep.
My least favorite has to be White. I've seen some beautiful ones out there, it's just not my thing.
You are right on target when you say, "The color we choose is where it all begins". There are a lot of options that we probably could do without and maybe it wouldn't be too much of a issue for use. But just think we walk out to our Wrangler each and every day and what's the first option that we see, The color. It's definitely a positive upper for the day when we see a color that makes our Wrangler look that much more assume, and wouldn't it be something if we didn't like the color, Wow, I would probably sell mine..............
The most stunning Jeep color I seen was actually Sahara tan with body-color everything with a slightly metallic window tint. It looked super baller. A color I would typically have written off as "granny".
I also like seeing the matte dark grey/brown hard tops. I don't see them very often on JKs, but when I see it on a dark metallic blue... wow...
I guess I am kind of bored of seeing the light silver and black jeeps.

2005 TJ Sport - Patriot Blue - SOLD
There are a lot of colors out there that I don't love, but don't necessarily hate. However, I'd have to say my top is Sahara Tan, with a runner-up being Natural Green. I also love Mango Tango but I'd probably never own one. Least favorites are Commando Green (that color just throws me off entirely for some reason), Gecko, Dozer (imagine driving either of those with a hangover), and Bright Silver.
And for the record, I think Rock Lobster is rad. It looks like a faded red -- makes your JK look vintage.
Location: Alberta, Canada where there's more Rockies than malls
I guess I better ...
I guess I better say Dune, since I own one!
My all time favourite is Mango Tango, but I also really like billet, black, white, crush, yellow, flame red and deep cherry red as well, but I'm thinking Dune will end up really rare so that's what I got and none of the pictures on here really do the colour justice.. It looks way better in person.

I was reading through these to get a better idea of what people like, but I stopped on page three when a pretty decent consensus had been reached: favorites are everything aside from rock lobster because that's least favorite.
Favorites: White...tan is second
Colors I wouldn't own but no hate involved: Orange, Yellow, Gecko (the bright stuff)
Least Favorites: Red and Silver
Oh, and regarding Billet: I bought my new JK a few weeks ago and they had just received a loaded billet. The salesman brought me right over to it while salivating as a starter. I wanted to see what he saw, but I didn't. It's a good color, but something about it for me didn't quite ring that bell. And I normally love that type of color on a car.
Commando Green (traded for one yesterday!)
Anything that would naturally look at home on an import sedan.
Regarding the much-maligned Rock lobster - it looks badass on the Moab soft top with all the black accents. It's not pink - it's orange-red in the sun and coral in the shade. Either way it looks like a fun beach/surfer color. It really needs lots of back accents or a few surfboards sticking out the back window to look its best.
2012 2DR Wrangler Sport, Silver/w dual top. 2.5" Teraflex coil and shock lift with 33" Goodyear Duratracs. Cat back stainless exhaust with resonator removed and Rugged Ridge split dual TP system/K&N Filter and back seat removed. 4.10 gears with Auburn HP LSD. Rampage stainless steel mesh grill insert. Third Wrangler I've owned and fifth Jeep total.
Life is Good!
Somehow my favorites are at extreme ends of the spectrum - fluorescent/very bright (gecko, cosmos blue, crush, dozer) or subdued (sahara tan, commando green). I think that is because I like to see Jeeps in colors that are particular to Jeeps. You can get a white, black, dark blue, silver anything.
