Question to all those who have cut there fenders... do you think its worth 300 to 350 dollars to get them cut by an auto shop.. or do you think it's better to buy your own dremal and go at it yourself ??
I wouldn't pay that much. I cut my own, it's not hard to do. Tape them off until you are satisfied with the shape that you want. I used a jigsaw, then sanded the rough edges. Also trimmed the inner fender with the same saw. Very happy with them.
Its super easy to do, as stated, just tape if off... I used a dremel tool to cut mine, broke a couple of disks but other than that... I also popped the fenders off before I started cutting. Had to go to the jeep dealership to replace the ones that I broke. That was the most expensive part of the process... I have heard of people doing it with jig saws, dremels, rotozips, and a heat gun and utility knife. You should definitely do it.
