Have a little battle scar...
Was putting my freedom top on and (gasp!) it slid out of my hand. Naturallt the outside visible edge tap danced along the cement floor leaving a string of white gashes all along the edge from the rear corner?
Any recommendations for touch up? (Paint, Marks-a-Lot, mascara)?
Thanks!
Actually, I found numerous threads on this after my post, and tried the sharpie. If it holds up, it will be great ... can't even tell after a thick application of the sharpie. The scrapes are still there, of course, but not the obnoxious white fiberglass. I have no issue with a few scrapes; part of the jeep's history being created, and I'd rather have the blemishes that come with real use rather than preserving showroom appearance at the expense of never removing the top or doors, or taking the jeep off road!
However, really, FCA should consider dyed fiberglass instead of a black top coat on white.
Rustoleum semi-gloss black. The color is spot-on, the finish is very close. I use it for the top and also for rust patrol on the suspension.
