Finally a JEEP Owner! 2010 Islander

Good Evening my Fellow Jeep Owners,

I picked up my new 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Islander Edition on Friday evening and all I can say is I am in love with this vehicle.

I elected to get both a soft top and a hard top. I am new to Jeep vehicles and while I am awaiting my softtop to be delivered so that I can install it for the summer. I wanted to know if there is any advice for a new unlimited owner. I purchased a Lifetime warranty on my Jeep to protect my investment because I plan to have it for a very long time.

I am sticking with my dealer to install any accessories that way my warranty stays intact and covers any dealer installed accessories. Anyone have suggestions for accessories? Thanks in advance. I am very excited about owning a Wrangler Unlimited.

Congrats on the new Jeep and welcome to the forum. My only suggestions would be put gas in it, drive it, repeat.

x2 for the surf blue! When I saw it online about 2 months ago I knew it was for me....5 days later I left the dealership in one!

Welcome to the forum btw its the best 1 out there (nicest people & quickest responses)

My suggestions for mods: Either try to hold off completely and enjoy her the way she is (somewhat impossible to do) or just come to terms early with the fact that you cant just do "one mod and then im done"

After each mod comes another TRUST ME! I've had mine for a little over a month and every week something is being upgraded/installed/modd'ed etc!

I think surf blue is best with the Islander logo. I took mine off last week.

Well, if everybody else gets their own section, I want one for girls who drive sports..... But I'll probably be all alone there, cause all the other girls drive rubis, or unlimiteds, or some other fancy pants Jeep So maybe I'll just keep butting in to everyone elses sections

Congrats on the jeep. Enjoy. And he hasn't posted pics because he followed the gas drive repeat suggestion.

Congratulations Coach Pete. I have a new surf blue Jeep and I was thinking of turning mine into a faux islander with decals, seats, etc. later. But for now, I just love the surf blue color. Is yours blue or a different color? Sounds like your getting things going with both tops and maybe some accessories. Way to go! Post some pictures of your new Jeep if you get time

hey congrats on the new JK...

just a warning...when it gets warm enough for you to lose the doors...when you put em back on make sure you connect the strap completely before letting the doors go or else you will end up with dents caused by the mirrors!!! trust me..it happened to both sides of my jeep...paid 100 bucks...got it fixed and did it again...haha oh well ill fix it later and then get the cowl covers!!

New Islander bought today!

We had a jeep a long time ago....Not enough room due to growing boys. Now that they are getting old enought to drive themselves we treated ourselves to a new silver 2010 jeep islander!
