Finally found the bastard!!!

So since I got my brand new JKUR, I had an apocalyptically annoying rattle from the rear passenger door, and a minor one above the driver's side rear passenger door. Thinking it was the door strikers, I adjusted them 200 ways to no avail...still rattled like a pensioner's dentures. Ready to shoot a 45 next to my ear to kill my hearing, I was going to give up. The other day, after loading my daughter into the carseat, I accidentally bumped the rollbar that does over the door opening, and viola!!!! I heard the noise! Turns out, in between the cloth and the rollbar itself, there is a stupid piece of plastic. I rotated the plastic a drop and presto...no more rattling!!! I have finally regained my sanity and am looking forward to becoming (once again) a useful member of society!

congratulations....

I've just had a jiggle/squeak start lately somewhere under left side of dash somewhere between the instrument panel and left windshield....

I can reach & touch all the potential spots of top of dash/various knobs/A pillar etc. Nothing changes.

May have to resort to the old 'tear all your extra junk out of it and drive around empty' routine....

Isn't from the top/panels, yet the driver panel latch remains oddly floppy/loose. I jam a wad of paper in between the loop & latch, but no changes.

Didn't seem to start until temp was below freezing for a could weeks & now it stays despite the balmy mid-40s.

I recently found the rattle I had been chasing. In my case it was the car seat. The handle to adjust the top height was causing it.

There is no good way to stop it, but knowing where the noise is coming from makes it a little less annoying.

I had a noise that I thought was in my dash. Turns out it was the wiring from the windshield mounted KC Lights hitting against the bracket while moving. I used a black zip-tie to hold the wiring to the bottom of the light and the noise went away.

It was very aggravating so I can feel your pain and joy of located it.

I have been having noises since installing new fenders. I think it's the splash guards flopping around at highway speed. I got home today and used a bunch of zip ties to secure it better. I'll find out tomorrow.

My hardtop makes a squeak / rattle on the driver side, somewhere behind the driver's door. It's been making me nuts. I'll track it down, but until I do...I'll keep the music loud
