FINALLY! Half-Doors Are Installed!

I received my Bestop/Highrock Element Door Kit last week, and just finished installing it about an hour ago. I was having the Enclosure Panels painted by a local Body Shop, and just picked those up Friday.

I'll post some pics tomorrow, but I'm REALLY happy with the way they turned out. Much, much cheaper that the Factory Half Doors, and they look just as good to me! I ordered everything through Quadratec, and it all came in within a week. The kit I ordered was:

- Highrock Element Tube Doors w/Upper Door Windows
- Highrock Element Door Bags
- Highrock Element Enclosure Door Panels

I transfered the Stock Mirrors from the Full Doors to the Half-Doors, and they fit perfectly. I attached the Door Bags to the inside of the Doors, so I'll have a little extra room for light storage items. After Adjusting the Upper Door Windows, and the Latches, it all fits great.

If anyone else is thinking about going with the Half-Doors, I highly recommend them!

Cheers!

BB

My dad used to have a camera just like that. I always hated it when the flashbulb went off.

Thanks!

Right! The Tube Doors, Upper Vinyl Doors (With Zippered Windows), and the Enclosure Kit Panels, were $776 with Shipping. The Door Bags were an extra $116, but will give me some more interior storage space for junk.

FYI, the Enclosure Panels can be removed, and you'll just have the Tube Doors installed. Prerry solid setup all around, for the price!

Cheers!

Hey! If you get outside and get some, um, good pictures, let me know. I really like the painted metal enclosures, and don't have any shots like that (we always just go with the black). Cheers!

JK'N!

Here ya Go:

Quadratec Element Doors For JK Unlimited (Link)

Also, here are a few shots I took when I got home this afternoon, with the top down. Geoff, if you need some more with better lighting, just let me know. It's gonna be nice out tomorrow and Saturday.

When I had it out in the sunlight today, I did see some small gaps from the inside, where the weather stripping didn't cover all of the spaces. So, a quick trip to O'Reilly's Auto Parts, and I picked up some Peel-N-Stick Door Seal. Gaps' gone! I don't intend to put the Full Doors back on... ever... so I'm not worried about the Weather Stripping being in the way.

Cheers!

Looks great! Now how to keep the wife from seeing those? She'll want a full set of 4 for the JK.

Lemmee see, 4 x $776-ish = $3,106 OUCH!! Blackbeard you are gonna cost me a bundle. Is that anyway for one seafarer to treat another?

NOOOOOOO! Sorry, if I wrote it that way. The $776 was for both Front Doors, not just one Door. So, you're looking ballpark, $1,552 for a set of 4..... unless you have 2 Unlimited's, that is! In that case, do yours first, and ask the wifey if she likes it, that you'll do hers too!

EDITED TO ADD: Your Avatar looks like a Master Diver insignia?

Cheers!
