First...beauty mark. Sigh

Cleaned out the 2012 today, and figured it couldn't hurt to see how easily the doors come off. They came off WAY easier than I expected, and I managed to scratch off some paint by the hinge getting it back on.

Oh well, I guess at least it was my fault.

So the question is...can the torx bits be left off, or do I have to screw them in every time?

I scratched mine the first few times removing the doors too. The torx bits can be left off. Unless you live in an area where you feel that the doors may be stolen. I put the bits back on the first few times after putting the doors back on and now I don't even bother.

Yeah the only reason to put em back on if it all works without em is to prevent your doors from being stolen, but as long as you lock your doors you should be fine, plus you dont see many yjs (which dont have any such thing to keep the doors in place, just pins that slide into the hinge) gettin their doors stolen.

haha good luck with the jeepin and remember that the scratches or "beauty marks" just give the thing some character.
