First mod...check!!

Ok. I know. Most of you long in the tooth jeepers will laugh, but I'm excited.

Just installed my first mod to my Jeep. Took me all of about ten minutes and that includes pulling it out of the box and finding my drill. That's right...a Rugged Ridge locking gas cap cover.

Why you ask? It's a Jeep for crying out loud you say?

Well, it's my DD and at the school I work at, the gas cap happens to be right about eye level and...well...boys will be boys sometimes.

All said and done, I like the matte black finish. No chrome for me thanks! Can't believe how easy it was to install! GOOD TIMES!

The addiction has begun. Once you start your first mod no matter how small, all you think about is what you can do next lol

You have to upload pics to a host site like imageshack.com or photobucket.com then you can link to the Url.

That's fine if you live in a warm. No snow or salt area. Mine lasted about 6 months before winter set in and the lock corroded and couldn't be used. Keep an eye on it.

Hmm...thanks Cal. Will do. I'm up in the snow frequently in the winter. The locking mechanism rusted?? I'll keep an eye on it. Elementary school folks...no dwarves here, but lots of little people.

To be pro-active try spraying inside the lock with PB spray or maybe use graphite.
