without spacers or a lift you should comfortably fit 32's or 33's i have 33 inch micky thompsons atm and they are running fine the only problem i have had was when i was at the sand bowl and my tires where on a really low pressure 12psi they would scrub a bit when i hit ruts

I've seen a couple threads on another forum with guys using flat fender flares (xenon is a company that makes one type) to fit 35's on their JK's with no lift or body spacers. I believe they were only running a max of a 10" width tire to avoid rubbing issues with full flex/turn radius.
