First question, and it's prob pretty ignorant.

Everything I have read in here with the search function is that the soft top just drops down and all is good to go.
However, in the owner's manual video, they show the top being strapped down onto the side rails with velcro straps. Nowhere on the side rails of the JKU can I find a place to attach the velcro straps.

What is the consensus? Just drop the top and drive?

I only velcro the top down when i put it into the sunrider configuration. When i put it all the way down i just leave it that way.

There are holes in the lip of the tub. I Velcro it through the oval shaped ones at the back. 3rd hole. Mine was bouncing a lot on the freeway and while yes it is a jeep thing. Much quieter when strapped.

you strap the rails together with the velcro. you do not strap them to the body. its the same as the sun rider config.
