Today has been one of the better snows that we have seen in my area of NC in the last few years and was a great time in my jeep! Got new tires last week and they went great in the snow. I know a lot of people dislike traction control (or the lack of the ability to completely disable it) but I had nearly zero slipping with it and really didn't use 4wd on completely covered roads. It was nice to drive around with that peace of mind! Just wanted to share how impressed I was with this awesome machine. Jeep on guys and gals!
Nice! Also a great picture! At least sounds like you were sensible and we didn't get another "There were 2 snowflakes so I put it in 4LO and it clunks when it turns" post. A Wrangler is fully capable (as are ahem most cars on the road lol!) in "some" snow in plain ole 2WD, just remembering that it is a RWD and driving appropriately. Also 4WD tends to make some folks overconfident - they focus more on the mechanicals to save them than on the good old tried and true free option of....driver skill and paying attention lol! The Jeep will tell you when you need to engage 4WD.
Glad you had fun!

These threads crack me up... I am SOOOOO sick of snow....I don't want to see another flake of the stuff! You can have the +60 inches we've had here so far...
I feel for you man. Just moved from Chicago down south and I was there this December for a few weeks. You forget what cold really is until you go to the Midwest. Heard it's supposed to warm up next week for you guys though.
