First snow of the season

Finally it snowed enough to do doughnuts in the local shopping center parking lot today. Although it's only a few inches, it still was fun. Here are a few pics.

Nice shot, I'm in Queens. You definitely have more snow up there than we do.

Ulster county here. Going out to shovel AGAIN. Took the JK out earlier to get take out. It was pretty cool because there was basically no one on the road except for some plows, pick ups, and many JEEPS! Love the 4WD!

Got about 3" so far in RI. Just took the JK out for a beer run. First 4WD cruise of the 13/14' winter with the new tires. No plows yet and all the streets looked amazing. Did a few test runs in 2WD then in 4WD. It is slippery in 2WD but in 4WD I can't tell there is snow. Amazing with the Duratracs.

Watertown/Fort Drum area. This was the first "dusting" of snow we got a couple weeks ago. Got about another 8-12" on top of within the last day or two...Good times

Got about 6 or 7 inches yesterday, total is mid 20 inches for the year and it's a blast every year with the Jeep. Still have yet to use 4wd on the road.

Got at least 10". The temp went up a bit and the roads are real messy and dirty right about now. I have 3 words for anyone on the fence. FRONT MUD GUARDS. I hesitantly put them on a few weeks ago and plan on taking them off after the winter. Only got front because I have an after market bumper (steel) on the rear and they wouldn't attach (have to drill them into the plastic bumper). Rear isn't as important anyway. Well I can't believe how clean my side door panels and handles are. Definitely worth what ever aesthetics you give up by seeing the mud guards on. They don't look terrible and will save my Jeep from tons of abuse. One of my best "mods"!

Be careful on the donuts boys. I played for no more then ten minutes in a parking lot in an S10 about 20 years ago and the next day the rear end went out of her.
No doubt a Dana 44 is better than they put in an S10 but still pays not to overdo it.

I was driving in the snow late yesterday afternoon. Only a few inches of snow. Nothing too interesting, but there is wildlife in it...

Okay so what was I doing wrong? I tried to do some doughnuts yesterday. Turned off the traction control by pushing the button on the dash. The 'traction control disbled' light came on on the dash. The traction control kept coming on about halfway around the circle. Flashing the light on the dash. Did I miss something?

There is no way to totally kill it off. Pushing the button just tells it relax. But then when you start getting crazy it comes back like woah what the hell are you doing?! Thats the scientific description anyways.

We picked a foot here so I went out in the woods behind my house in the rubicon. I had a JKU with 285 duratracs and loved them so much I put them on my rubi Last week. I have to say the 2d does just as well as the 4d in the snow.
