I slept in a Miata once...or tried to. While shooting a story on McDonald Observatory in TX. Had to do a time exposure of the stars w/the observatory in the foreground.

Needless to say, Miata as a bed is an epic Fail.

Hey Aaron, I am currently trying to relocate my factory mirrors, I was stumped on the inside portion of the mirror, if there was another nut to unscrew. Did you use your original mirrors? or after markets?

I did use the factory mirrors. Once you unscrew the bottom nut that holds the mirror to the bracket you are ready to go. You have to use some force to get the mirror off the bracket but if you wiggle it back and forth as your trying to pull the mirror off it should be easier. After that take the bracket off your doors with the 2 bolts that are located on the inside of the door close to the door hinges and install the filler plates using the same bolts. That's it your done!!

Hope this helps!

Here is an INSANELY detailed thread on relocating the power mirrors. Too much work in my opinion. I would definitely go with these before I did all that!

Heck yeah!! Here are the new trail doors installed, AND the wife digs it now that she doesn't feel like she is going to fall out. I like the look so I think that I am going to keep them on for the summer!

Took um off for the first time and have the dent to prove it.

Just took the doors and the hard top off for the first time. I was in a nice level garage when taking my driver side door off. I unplugged the wire and unlatched the strap. I was sort of looking around for a place that I could set the door down on, like a carpet swatch or something like a piece of cardboard. I just SLIGHTLY touched the door and it swung open and created the stupid ass dent! Amazing not even 1000 miles. Still it was a blast to drive.
