First time Jeep owner

Alright kids...I am a first time Jeep owner, long time Jeep lover.
Obviously after purchasing this sweet ride I do not have a ton of funds to modify it. I'm looking for some extremely cheap mods to begin my journey.
Any input is acceptable.
Help a fellow Jeep nut out!!

Congrats on the new ride -- and welcome! If you search, there are a few threads with a lot of suggestions (i.e. http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/che...are-77590.html)

One of the first I did was the black grill insert. You can pick up the parts from lowes (I used gutter guard/screen, zip ties & anchor blocks, and some epoxy) for about $10-$15. Much cheaper than ordering the kit from a catalog ($150? $200?).

Some cheap mods I enjoyed were a bug deflector and a grill insert. Both can be found on quadratec or even ebay. Enjoy the jeep. Im a noob myself and loving it.

One other thing -- "cheap" is a relative term, but you can find some stock 17" take-offs for $300-$500 pretty easily. I'd love a lift and some 33s or 35s, but the stock 32s do alright and are pretty cheap (relatively speaking).

Rubber floor mats, billet grill inserts, bug deflector, rear tail light "guards" and some decals where my first mods. Will be adding driving lights this weekend. Welcome to WF. Don't forget to Wave.

Put 10-15 tanks of gas thru it before you decide anything.

By that time you'll have a better idea what you might want. What you "need" is nothing that isn't already on it.

Nice. White was my favorite Jeep color for about 20 years.

There are a ton of smaller items you can get.
I seem to be spanning the cheaper mods right off the bat:
Rugged Ridge (Quadratec) Floor mats
Stubby Antenna in black
Set of Polk db651s in the sound bar

I have a set of door sill protectors and Ace rails sitting under the tree also.
To date the rails are the priciest and most major mod for me so far.

There are only a few sub-200 dollar items on my list.
It all spins out of control from there into what I like to call the "long-term" list, which will be done piecemeal over time as I can manage.

How do you like those polks in the sound bar? I was looking into those.

I like 'em!
They were easy to install (did it over lunch) and improved the mids/highs.
The Infiniti system is okay with me in general.

That is where they put the toggles for the electric windows.

Just to clarify - are those the db651 or the db651s (slim) model? For around 60 bucks, seems like a good mod.

Grill looks good.

Here's a link to another very cheap mod. 14" stubby antenna...think they've even got a holiday special going. The black would look awesome on your white Jeep, IMO.

Also, Antenna-x is a forum vendor so you can just pm him, order it, and get it shipped free. Under $20, iirc. There'll be photos in the link...

Replace stock antenna...

You should be able to fine Rubi or Sport S takeoffs relatively cheap. Looks great in white. MOAB wheels will make it look even better

I have a set of Mojave wheels and Stock 32 M/T's I will (hopefully) be looking to get rid of around the end of Feb. Would look sweet on the white ride.

i just recently on a fuel filler door cover and love it. doesnt necessarily serve a purpose other than keeping mud/dirt/ice out of the fuel filler area. but i think it gives the outward appearance a more tough look back there with the matt black door cover and silver screws

Well here is another thing I had to do. I put a pioneer aviv d3 in and a couple 12s in the back. I didn't have the infinity system so stock was not that good. Plus I'm a sound guy in the air force so leaving it stock was not an option in my book.

All in all the harness was the only thing I had to purchase at like 116.00 I think. I had everything else lying around.
