1980 Mercury Capri - got it in '88 when I was 16
1990 Grand Prix (was my mom's) - got it when my first car died after my freshman year in college
1997 Civic - first brand new off the lot car ever, drove it for 6 years
200? Civic that was hubby's when he wanted a truck
2004 Ford Escape because I wanted more space than the civic
2007 Odyssey because we outgrew the Escape

And then we traded the minivan for the Jeep!

Had a worn out beat up 01 f-150. http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/c...7/9980583d.jpg
Hard to tell in the pic but that's some 70 mph pin striping done via the wire guard rails on the highway

I started out with a '97 Toyota 4Runner Limited. It was a nice truck, very reliable. It took me through college, across the country with all my stuff, traveled over to Germany with me and made it as far north as the Netherlands. It shaped my expectations for a 4x4 substantially - namely, proper 4x4 are to have at least one "locker," a T-case with low range and at least double digit ground clearance. =) The only thing that was ever a bit of a downer was the departure angle...I dragged my ass end on occasion. It was surprisingly fuel efficient with its 3.4 L 6-cyl and fast enough that I never felt burdened. I liked it so much that I damn near bought another one instead of my JKUR.

I survived after the 4Runner on some rented Euro vehicles (Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Fiat...whatever the rental folks had when I needed a car) and my now wife's VW Passat from...89? The VW was finicky, always acting up, just never when I was around thankfully. It did have massive trunk space. All of these vehicles did cement my appreciation for the manual transmission.

Upon my return from Germany, I got a "pre-owned" 2007 BMW 335i (sedan) - I wanted a proper sports car with a bit of practicality. Unless I opted for AWD, the BMW 335i was the only real RWD, manual choice out there that appealed. My wife and I got on for 2.5 years and 50,000+ miles with that as our only car. It is wonderful to drive on good roads...of which there are, sadly, not very many in the United States. It also is somewhat limited in what it can haul. So, the wife and I decided we needed to once again join the ranks of the two vehicles family (her VW did not make the trip...Euro spec). We really loved some smaller, efficient and sporty cars...but, we wanted a vehicle that would add, rather than duplicate, capability within our garage. So, eventually we came around to a '12 JKUR.

I still own/ride my '07 CBR600RR. My BMW is quick for a practical car...but, modern sport bikes are mind bending. I like when a car gets a wild hair and wants to race the bike - it means I'll have a rabbit to chase all the way home =). I am not a naturally patient person though, so I admit to occasional hooliganism. If you're doing five below the speed limit, there's a good chance you'll get the full throttle, 15000 rpm pass with the sincere hope that you'll never hear properly again and possibly drive off the road. Honestly, a part of my soul dies every time I have to follow someone who cannot manage the speed limit on dry roads in beautiful weather.

So far the wife and I are pleased with our JKUR. It's interior is well done and compares favorably with the Taco my buddy has - it manages to look, dare I say, classy. I like that we can load a bunch of stuff in it and haul it around (we just moved). I like that I can run trails and things. Mostly, I like that on the generally terrible roads I drive I don't need to worry about the JKUR constantly, as I do my Bimmer. Right now, it reminds me a lot of my old 4Runner...even if it is a larger and more capable vehicle. We'll see how it holds up over time.

Well I had a Patriot before my current Sahara, so I was already familiar with Jeep quality. Before that, a Sliverado Z71. I really regretted selling that truck, but now that I'm in the Sahara I'm very pleased.

I'm with you!! Just picked up my 2012 JKU Sport S today and couldn't be happier. Great experience at the dealer. I sold my 2010 Camaro this morning and thought I would be sad. I put a lot of work into that car and it was fun to drive. The Jeep is Silver and that's not the color I wanted. It was actually at the bottom of the list but now that I have it I really love it. WOuld go back for one second. I'm completely impressed so far. I don't think I'll ever drive anything else at this point!!

Now I have a 2012 Rubi. In a lot of ways this is the best vehicle I've had. She's a keeper.

I have had silver vehicles, and I have always loved the color. It's very forgiving, and with all of the awesome black lettering and decals you can put on it- Enjoy your jeep!

The silver grows on me more every time I look at it. Very happy so far, although I don't think my windshield is sealed on the passenger lower corner. I'm getting a lot of wind and it looks off. I'll take it in next week to get looked at. Staying clean and not showing every little blemish is exactly why I chose silver after thinking about the black Camaro. Now I'm just getting the mods list together and it will be a long one!! I think we should all start calling Jeep's off the lot a "starter kit".

Where to start.....I will only go back about 4 vehicles.
1998 Chevy Silverado
2000 GMC Serria
1989 Ford F 150
1999 Explorer
I am very happy, the only thing that would make it better would be a Hemi in my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in white. My wife is sitting next to me giving me grief about that. Maybe when it's paid off.....
