My dad raised me on pickup trucks, so I've driven a 1994 Ford Ranger (hand me down from the Ol' Man), a 2002 Chevy S-10, and a 2005 GMC Canyon. 3 months ago I bought an '04 LJ as a graduation present to myself and when I brought it by Dads house to show it off he fell in love. About a week ago he called to tell me he had traded in his '07 GMC Sierra on a white '05 Rubicon he'd been eyeing since I got my LJ.
Dad- "The dealer didn't wash it for you?"
Me- "Got that on the drive home Dad"
1992 Geo Metro
1991 Pontiac Grand Prix
1999 Kia Sephia
2001 Toyota Sienna
1986 Chevy Silverado
2007 Toyota Sienna
2011 Dodge Challenger (still have for Hubby)
2006 Ford Fusion (still have for the teenagers)
2008 Pontiac Solstice (traded for my Jeep )
Just took delivery of an 2013 orange crush rubicon (my first Jeep). I drove a mini cooper countryman previously until the Chicago streets had me at my every last nerve. Jeep was a total knee jerk reaction that I couldn't be more pleased with. Stopped by the mini dealership prior to my nephew driving it to its new home and my dealer friend brought out his 66 vet for us to take a ride in. Nice eye candy.
now: 2013 jku sahara, black with hardtop
before: 2007 350z roadster
And I do prefer the jeep. At least I can take the kids with me and it's a lot more comfortable! (yes really! I saw a youtube review that called the jku the worst commuter, but I say a 350z roadster is worse....)
1999 nissan frontier xe 2wd- first car (sold)
2007 honda element lx - first new car. loved it, drove it for 5 years until i moved to colorado and needed all wheel drive (traded)
2008 subaru impreza. fun to drive but needed more ground clearance (traded)
2008 chevy colorado z71 bought with 90k on it, cost me $5k in repairs in 3 months, worst financial decision of my life
2003 toyota tacoma trd off road- loved the truck, hated driving a automatic transmission (sold private party )
1997 Jeep TJ sport. Had it for 2 months, realized half doors and no a/c did not make the best summer DD for 100 degree days. Sold it for $500 more then i paid for it
2013 Jeep JK sport-by far my favorite car. Will be slowly upgrading till its just where i want it and never getting rid of it. aside from the pickup trucks all have been manual transmission
I traded in a 06 Yukon Denali for my Jeep. Did not need the room anymore and have wanted a Jeep for a long time. Before that an 01 BMW 530. Ex-wife would never let me get one. She would say they are dangerous. Current wife loves the Jeep.
