Had the same feel after my first off road trip. I have 35" with 2.5" and rock sliders lift so i didn't have problems from underneeth, only thing that bothered me and stil does are the bushes and branches. I got some minor scratches on my black hardtop and barely seen on the body. I had fun and everything, but i should ve been more careful not getting off the main road
I had the same issue the first time I took my Jeep out. Next mod was LineX'ing the entire hard top. Best thing i did- now i don't worry about anything scratching the top. Also makes me worry less about the freedom panels getting scratched when i take them out.
Lots of stuff! shhhhhh... don't tell my wife!
Feeling a little regret is normal I know I did on the first couple scratches, knocked off fenders, dented rear bumper. Most of us are still paying the thing off to be damaging it haha but it's all fun. I love conquering terrain no other average person could do. I just keep telling myself that one day my jeep will be 15 years old and it won't be new and shiny anymore and that's when it will be even more fun. And like others said there's an aftermarket part for almost anything you break.
Man, I love my jeep! I 've only had it for 2 months and i'm not scratching it...on purpose. When i decide to go off roading, I will buy another one...older and about 2002-3.
A built TJ or LJ Is still awesome, and a built one can still cost ya as much as your stock JK. I offered to buy my wife a JK and she refused it and got the LJ...we will have 10K into hers when done if she gets her way, not counting the 15k we paid... glad your liking the Jeep, and if your talking about getting a 2nd...welcome to the addiction!
That's why I went with white, doesn't show any of the pin striping.
I am amazed at how well the bright white holds up, get home and you swear you are going to be scratched all up and wash it and not a single mark. I have never seen paint like it before and I have owned more than 25 vehicles and about 30 motorcycles in all different colors but this has been the best finish to date.
Myself personally i'm going to have to argee with what someone else posted.... i really won't feel comfortable trying the whole off roading on a brand spanking new $30k plus vehicle when i take delivery of my 2014 next month. i might just end up buying a old YJ and play with that for my off roading needs.

A lot of great advice and stories here! I swear its a magic paint they use, after i wheeled it and washed it, no scratches from the branches scraping down the sides of the jeep.
Could be the dozen coats of waxed i've put on it though haha.
