First true trail ride with my 11' JK !!!!

Hey ya'll yesterday I went out and went on mine and my jeeps first actual wheelin trip! I had a frickin blast and am so glad I got to go with a fellow jeeper. My jeep (Hammer Down) is still a 100% stock Sport tires and all and on the trail we went on there was plenty of snow that would have stopped my old ford or even my buddies 4x4 trucks I never got stuck but my buddy with his TJ ended up gettin stuck pretty good and will have a couple photos up. I was super suprised how well the stock JK did on the slick hills and deeper snow and rough terrain, never once had to put her in 4 low the whole time, she just rooted through in either 2 hi or 4 hi. What an amazing vehicle!

We got his jeep out after about an hour and a half of using a hi-lift and tow straps to pull him of a tree that he ended up sliding into again and gettin a beauty dent on his passenger door and a bent pass. side front fender. What a great experience!

dumb question - the straps ? are they used like a manual winch ? is there any reason to have both ?

the straps were to hook the jeep up to a nearby tree with the hi-lift in the middle as a sort of redneck com-a-long and it worked great. Neither of us have winches so we had to use a bit of upper body strength and get her off of the tree and back up on the trail.
