Fishing pole holder

Just wondering what kind of rod holder you guys have fabbed up. Looking for some ideas. Tired of having to break my poles completely down in order for them to fit in my 2 door with the top down.

Subscribed to see what some others have done. I just push mine up over the spiderweb when the top is on.

could do like surveyors...use a section of pvc pipe 4-6 inch with threaded caps set pvc on top of roll bar windshield and fasten with bungee cords, slid rods in side of pipe
Duh: baitcasters, spin rods, or fly rods? and how long?
Mine are 7ft baitcasters

I have one of the gear carrier racks that goes in the hitch receiver.
I don't want a smelly fish bucket in my jeep with me. Just use some conduit clamps and PVC pipe on the back of the rack.

I take the top off, and carefully slide the reel down the side of and under the rear seat, with the base of the pole under the drivers seat. The length of the pole continues out over the drivers taillight. I run this no doors or with doors, secure and I don't attach it to anything.

Take a look at this solution, they have PVC and metal options and can do whatever the need for number of poles.

Do you drive like this or is this set up just for when you get down to the lake?

I drove 12 miles to the lake. No problems. I was worried about tangles more than anything. I also put my tackle box, 2 camp chairs and big cooler on. I did tie it all down with bungee cords.

I have mine set up the same way. Started with zip ties to make sure I don't mind it, but I am going to more permanently mount them like that. I could fit my 8' 1 piece saltwater rod, all my fresh water rods fit like that. and then my bigger surf rods are 2 piece.
