Fits Your Vehicle - Maybe?

Evening everyone -
Has anyone else noticed the discrepancies among websites and what they say fits your Jeep? Amazon and eBay appear to be some of the worst; I am checking wheels, tires and bumpers and find American Racing, Level 8, Pro Comp, and Cooper recommendations that Amazon says will not fit. I have seen what many of you are running, and Amazon says "Nope - Doesn't fit". I tend to believe the manufacturer sites more than Amazon's, as well as our dedicated 4x4 retailers like Quadratec, Northridge, and Extreme Terrain, etc. Cyber Monday doesn't have as much appeal when the ol' Interweb gives such differing results! Anyone have similar experiences?

Do your own research and know exactly what you're buying.

When I encounter a situation where I'm not sure due to differing or conflicting info I try to find at least two sources that say it's fits, then go buy it from the place with the best price/ best personal previous experience.

I encountered this several months ago when I was searching for highway pegs for my motorcycle. I saw them listed several places (with the part number), but the part number at Amazon said they wouldn't fit. I bought them anyway, and have been using them without issue for several months (one of the good things about living in the south, a longer motorcycle season)

Maybe Robert Frost can help you here.

As mentioned above, do your research both here and with the manufacturer. If Acme wheel company says they fit your Jeep, then you can bet they fit. If someone is running Acme bumpers and says they were an easy install, then you should have no problem. Once you have finished your research, then you can Google for the best price. I've done this before and Amazon says it won't fit but when I go to install it, it goes on like a breeze.

Yes. Of the two, I've found Amazon to be incorrect more often than eBay.

I believe the difference is in that the seller is directly responsible for any misprints on eBay; while it is a lot easier for a seller to hide behind big giant Amazon.
