Ok jeepers, I am going to install the 87 octane program on my 13 jk sport. Any lessons learned? My 1st time at attempting this and don't want to create more problems than it solves. Go at it!!

ALWAYS update tuner before you use it!

I did mine a couple of weeks ago and picked up about 1 to 1.5 mpg. Acceleration from stop was greatly improved and overall felt less sluggish. Remember to reset your jeep to factory if you take it to the dealer. Other threads said it can cause significant problems if they try to update your system.

ALWAYS make sure the vehicle to be programmed has a fully charged battery.

Bad things can happen if this is not the case....

Installed the 87 octane program today and everything went smooth. Noticeable difference coming out in first gear. No more hesitation!!! I'll take it on the highway today and see what 6th gear feels like.
Also adjusted tire size, TPMS, radio delay and daytime running lights.
So far I'm happy, hopefully there will also be some gas mileage improvement.

If you have any doubts about your batteries at all or if they are a few years old I would go have them checked out just to make sure. I had all sorts of problems one time tuning my last truck because the batteries were bad. I did not have any problems so I did not think about it but eventually I figured it out and after being replaced the tunes took fine.
