Flat Fenders - will they make your tires look small?

Curious if people have side shots of their JK's with before and after shots of putting on their flat fenders.

I am putting on Bushwacker Fenders, and i am hoping that the Fenders won't make my tires look small.

Currently i have a 3" lift with 35's.

Thoughts?? Pics??

I'm considering installing the Trail Mods fenders that are removable for trail use. They kinda look like a mix between stock flares and flat flares to me, and when removed there is a thin high clearance flare about 3 inches wide. They are a little more expensive though. Good luck!

What if you just get the Bushwacker flats but the lift is budgeted for a later day (or year). Specifically for a '12 JKUR, with stock 32". Anyone done that? Does it look silly?

I like the BW flat fenders, and they're an easy mod, it seems.

yes, Saw one the other day on my way home from work. Red 2dr stock tires and rims no lift, front and rear bumpers. from the side it was ok didn't look too bad, but from the front it looked goofy cuz the tires were so skinny.

just my 2 cents

I love that bumper. Is that the Olympic single hoop? I'm thinking of going with the triple hoop.

Yea, Boa front bumper with hoop. It's holding up good. Look around, you can find them cheap.

Do you feel it's strong enough to hold a winch? I know they say you can use one, but I'm just wondering what you think.

I'm not a hardcore off roader/rock crawler, so use in a recovery situation (the bumper) would be extremely few and far between. My main purpose is as a brush guard.

It says it's made for a winch, but I don't know if I'm going to put one on with it. It's done fine bumping into trees/rocks but I have another olympic bumper in the rear and it's weak.
My bumper use to be flush with the frame, but after pulling my buddy out of a hole it bent.

It's worse now because I don't have a recovery point in the rear and I pulled someone else out again.
In all honesty, I would save $ and get a better brand than olympic. the finish on them aren't the best and I'm just nervous now to put a winch on the front after seeing how the back tweaked so easily.
The front however did hold up pulling this guy out with the help of the TJ in the pic too

This is a good choice if you're wanting the extra clearance on the trail, wider coverage but not looking to dwarf your tires when on the street. Let me know if I can help you out on the price of them.

I am really liking the look of the Olympic triple hoop as well. Where do we find them cheaper than the "Q"? Anyone else rocking the Olympic that can attest to the quality vs price?

As far as bumpers go, if you like that style. My neighbor said Smittybilt has moved from being known as Shittybilt, and actually have good products again, higher QA standards, etc... Might be worth looking into, as they have that style of bumper.

4wd.com/morris4x4. Can't remember what one I ordered from, but it was only $250 when I bought it. The price seems to have jumped up since then. I did order when they had promotion going on too. The front bumper is good, It's the rear boa back bumper I'm not to happy with.
