What floor mats is everyone using and why did you pick them over other brands

I have the OEM "tire track" looking 5 piece set negotiated during the purchase process. I like them, they fit well and seem to be of good quality. However, I recently installed the in-channel version of the Weather Tech rain guards. I really like them, low profile, no tape sticking to the outside, and very well made. I have read Weather Tech's floor mats are top notch as well, so I may check them out later.

I've looked into a weathertech and huskyliners. both have mats that really conform to the floor, up the sides and such. seem pretty equal on some stuff.

I asked my brother who has much more experience with them and he said he's had some weathertechs that once you get some mud (especially here in NC where it is RED) on them they always look dirty. He doesn't see this as much with Huskyliners. I don't own either yet, but I'm looking into huskys myself.

I also decided on my own to get the huskyliner cargo area liner for mine (2dr) because it seemed best suited to the 2dr where most others are designed for 4dr and also can fit the 2dr, but the areas you cut out if you want to leave the seat in are not in the right spots on most others it seems.

I've had the Weathertech LINERS in other vehicles - great quality, great job of containing the snow/slop/rain ... but, as mentioned below, even though I would clean them with a scrub brush now and then, then always looked dull and dirty. Tried spraying with Aerospace Protectant with little improvement seen.

Our JKU came with a set of rubber mats with a stipple tread and fuzzy backing. They've never been in the rig, are OK if you don't do much off-road, and are for sale. It also came with a set of heavy mats, marked JEEP, that have deeper edges, resemble the tracks made by a couple of heavy a/t tires in soft soil and are great for our normal on and off-road use. - Ted

in my 07 2dr I had the full quadratec liners the fronts were great the rear cargo liner needed trimming and just didn't fit well and made the seats a pain to latch properly. In my 15 4dr I went with the slush mats which work just as well if not better and in the back I just use the factory carpet liner flipped over to the rubber tread side, kudos to Jeep for making it reversible

By chance do you have the Alpine system with rear floor based sub? RDM3, I didn't notice if you have a JK or JKU, but if a JK, does the mat serve as a floor mat for any back seat passengers as well? If anyone else has the mat in a JK I'd like to know about the rear floor board coverage as well.

I believe the Mopar one has an area you can cut out for the 2015+ but I don't pay that close of attention to the mat when I open my tailgate.

My JKRHR came with the rubber mats from MOPAR, but I didn't like them for every day use. We don't get much "winter weather" here in Louisiana, and when we do, the entire state shuts down. We do get lots of rain at certain times of the year though.

I ordered a set of Lloyds's "custom" carpeted mats that I have been real pleased with.

I have never liked having wet feet while driving, and the rubber mats just were not allowing me to dry my feet off. The Lloyd's look good, and do the job.

If I ever find myself in a situation where I may need all weather mats, then I'll just drop in the rubber MOPAR mats. Best of both worlds.

I've got the Quadratec's with the tread lightly logo on them.

Can't see anything wrong with them - good fit, plenty deep, and they have a deep tread that will handle snow from my boots here in SoCal.

:)
