Floor mats and Seat Covers

A couple easy questions for a 2009 Sahara Unlimited
What are the best floormats for the money?

Seat covers-Same question and a few more.
Are they worth it?
Does it make seating any less comfortable.
Are the neoprene seat covers OK?
Easy to install?
Sweat factor?
Longevity?
Thanks.

It's hard to go wrong with Quadratec floor liners. I personally like the neoprene seat covers. The only downside IMO is that they soak up water like a sponge. They will certainly protect your seat and keep them dry (which is the important part) but your butt is another matter.

I have the Rugged Ridge seat protectors in both my Wrangler and Liberty and are very satisfied with them.

Neoprene holds water, fades quickly and gets smelly pretty quickly as well. But there are folks around here who have Iggees and Wet Okele's that love them. It all comes down to preference. Search seat covers and you'll find as many opinions as you find members here..

One other down side to neoprine seat covers is that (like a wet suit) after time and exposure they will dry up fade and cracks. And being that they are on the expensive side that is alot of money for 2 years worth seat covers.

Husky tub mats. Hands down, one of the best things I ever bought for my Jeep. Not pretty, but work great!

Seat covers-Same question and a few more.
Are they worth it?
Does it make seating any less comfortable.
Are the neoprene seat covers OK?Rumor has it, no. They fade and are sweaty
Easy to install?
Sweat factor?Icky!
Longevity?they fade, but stay ugly for a long long time
Thanks.

I would also like to steer you away from the Smittybuilt GEAR seat covers. I have them, it was a real waste of money. Inferno girl makes seat covers. I've seen them in person, they look great! If she made some that would hold all of my heavy stuff, I'd have a set on my rig right now.

*edit* dang it! You drive a JK. Sorry, IG doesn't do JKs - yet.

I have the Rugged Ridge neoprene seat covers, they make you sweat, and are very slippery unless you are wet but they are comfortable and fit very well. We have been putting towels over the seat covers to help (I know, covers for the seat covers, ridiculous)
I have the Quadratec floor mats and they are pretty nice. I can't find any mats for the rear that cover the sloped area right in front of the seat where everyone ends up putting their feet.

Thanks Kate for your kind words...

And Monkee, no waterproof from me. I just can't handle the fabric that would be required, and frankly the thought of sticking to vinyl seats makes me squirm... Had leather in 2 convertibles previously, it wasn't fun.... I'm old and go for comfort over function....

I'm with you there. But, I want it all Waterproof, self drying fabric seats, with a color-changing material that will suit my mood as soon as I sit down

After what I've learned on this forum, I know I don't want Okele's, which was what I had originally planned on.
Now I'm just lost, wandering in a forest of seat covers...

Ahh, but I'm beginning to Hijack. My appologies everyone, lol!

if you have your tops off and you hit some traffic on a hot summer day... your back will be disgustingly sweaty, normally I don't care but when you have to be somewhere where something presentable is needed you'll need a change of clothes lol

Nope! But if you get a set and put up a review, we'll all know if they are any good or not!

I have the Rugged Ridge Floor liners and the Rugged Ridge neoprene seat covers. Daggo66 is right about neoprene soaking up water. But just like a wetsuit for scuba diving is they dry real fast too!

The Rugged Ridge neoprene covers have a flap on the side for seats with air bags.
