Flowmaster 40 Muffler Relocation

Hey Guys, I have seen a number of threads and YouTube videos that show people relocating their muffler under the diver side. I am planning to buy a flow master 40 from Amazon and have jt installed at my local muffler shop. Any reason I shouldn't relocate to get better clearance in the back? Also, anyone have the flow master 40? What do you think?

Might be better I guess. I had the FM 40 on mine and hated the sound. It was hideous with the top off. It wasn't too bad with top on but sound awful when topless. Had to pull it off after 3 months. Hope you have better luck with it.

I have a Flowmaster 40 installed as well as full custom "cat back" piping

The shop did a slip fit on th front pipe just like factory and then mid mounted the muffler where the stock Resonator was, He then bent a tail pipe up over the axle and kept it tucked up high for added clearance, at the very end I have him put on a simple and slight turndown.

I am very happy with the sound and since I have the 6 spd I can control the RPM's easier so I don't get much if any "Drone"

I can post up a few pics if you want to see them just let me know.

Is there enough room to relocate the muffler under the drier side in a two door?
